Terms & Conditions
By registering onto a WildDog Events Ltd (also known as WildDog Events) adventure, the participant accepts and agrees to abide by the following terms & conditions:
-
The participant is fully responsible for their actions whilst attending the WildDog Events adventure. The organisers do not accept responsibility for the actions of any participant or the consequences of such actions.
-
All participants are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly and acceptable manner and not to disrupt the enjoyment or jeopardise the safety of others. If at any point during the adventure the head guide deems the participants behaviour is not acceptable and is disrupting the enjoyment and jeopardising the safety of others, WildDog Events reserve the right to terminate the adventure immediately with no further obligations.
-
When registering for an adventure, the participant agrees that they are physically and mentally capable of taking part in the adventure they have chosen. If at any point during the adventure the head guide deems the participant is unable to continue due to physical or mental health reasons, the participant agrees to accept this decision as final and withdraw from the adventure with no further obligations from WildDog Events.
-
The purchase of an entry to an adventure or an event registration form must be completed by a person aged 18 years or over. Evidence of age may be requested. The minimum age for taking part in a WildDog Events adventure is 18 at the start of the trip.
-
The participant will not hold WildDog Events staff, local guides, porters or staff in the country of the adventure liable whilst taking part in a WildDog Events adventure.
-
Excursions or other tours that the participant may choose to book during the adventure are not part of WildDog Events contracted agreement. In this situation, the participants contract will be with the operators excursion or tour and not WildDog Events.
-
The areas in which the adventures are held are also open to the general public. By taking part in the event, the participant acknowledges this fact, and will take adequate care and attention when participating. It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure they are always in control of both themselves and any equipment they may be using.
-
If an adventure requires the participant to wear protective clothing such as a helmet, harness, safety glasses etc then it will be mandatory that the participant wears all the safety equipment correctly and comply with the instructions from the guides.
-
By entering an adventure the participant confirms they will pack the kit and equipment as specified by WildDog Events (on a supplied kit list) and that all their equipment is of a suitable standard and state to take part in the adventure.
-
If a participant has to retire early from an adventure all additional costs incurred such as transport, hotel, subsistence etc will be the responsibility of the participant. WildDog Events will not refund any un-used travel, accommodation or subsistence costs.
-
Participants will be responsible for any fees incurred from an accident or incident caused by their actions. This includes, but is not limited to, fees from Police, Air Ambulance, Helicopter evacuation, Fire & Rescue, Mountain Rescue and the Ambulance service.
-
If the participant misses their transport arrangements, or it is cancelled or they are subject to a delay of over 3 hours for any reason, they must contact WildDog Events so that alternative arrangements can be discussed.
-
WildDog Events will have a qualified first aider at every event. If a serious or life threatening situation arises where the first aider is not able to attend and the participant is not capable of making the decision to call for the emergency services, the participant agrees that WildDog Events, other participants, or a member of the public may call the emergency services on their behalf. In this situation, the participant still accepts the costs and consequences of such actions.
-
It is the responsibility of the participant to check and fulfil the VISA, Passport, health and immigration requirements applicable to their adventure. WildDog Events can only provide general information about this. The participant must check requirements for their own specific circumstances.
-
It is mandatory for the participant to have their own insurance which must include, but is not limited to: travel delays, hiking at altitude, helicopter evacuation and repatriation. The participant must be satisfied that their insurance covers them for all personal requirements including any pre-existing medical conditions; cancellation charges; medical expenses and repatriation in the event of an accident or illness. Please note that many of our adventures take place at altitude and may not be covered under standard travel insurance policies. Please ensure that the travel insurance policy provides an adequate level of insurance for the adventure chosen. Details of the insurance will need to be submitted to WildDog Events prior to departure.
-
Registering for an event indicates consent for WildDog Events to contact the participant with pre-event information and about other relevant adventures. The participant can opt out of this after the event by emailing WildDog Events.
-
Every effort will be made to adhere to the published itinerary for the adventure. Due to the nature of the adventures WildDog events offer, such itineraries can be subject to change.
-
By entering an event the participant grants WildDog Events permission to use photographs, videos or sound recordings of the participant obtained during the event in their social media, website and marketing. The participant specifically waives any right to any compensation for appearing in any of the photographs, video or sound recordings. If the participant objects to the use of their photographs, video or sound recordings it is the participants’ responsibility to email WildDog Events prior to the event informing the organisers of their decision.
-
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these terms and conditions, WildDog Events will not be liable or pay participants compensation if our contract is affected by ‘events beyond our control’. For the purpose of these terms and conditions, events beyond our control means any event beyond WildDog Events or our suppliers control. The consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. Examples include but are not limited to warfare and acts of terrorism; civil strife; epidemics and pandemics; significant risk to health such as outbreaks of serious disease at the travel destination or natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes or other weather conditions which makes it impossible to travel safely to the destination or remain safely at the destination.
-
It is the participants responsibility to make themselves aware of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advice in regard to the safety of the country and areas in which they will be travelling and to make their decisions accordingly. Advice from the FCDO to avoid or leave an area will constitute events beyond our control.
-
WildDog Events reserves the right to cancel any event due to circumstances outside of their control such as, but not limited to, extreme weather, environmental conditions, Government restrictions or Force Majeure. In these circumstances WildDog Events will transfer the participants to the rescheduled date. If the participant prefers not to be transferred WildDog Events will issue a refund less the booking agent’s fee and a 5% admin fee. All refunds will be at WildDog Events discretion.
-
Always check each event for any additional terms and conditions. Any terms on the event details take precedence.
-
These terms and conditions and any agreement to which they apply are governed in all respects by English law. Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales only.
