UCC Fire Relief Sportive

WildDog Events are pleased to bring you this fundraising sportive which takes place on Sunday 18th October to raise funds for Uppingham Community College following a devastating fire on 26 August. There are two routes available – 51 miles with 3,500 feet of climbing and 22 miles with 1,700 feet of climbing.
Both routes start and finish at Uppingham Community College (UCC) in Uppingham, Rutland. Starting with a staggered start at 9am, the two routes will give cyclists a few hilly challenges as well as some beautiful views around the county.
Rutland Cycles have kindly offered their hire bikes (including a helmet) for £19.99 this is an amazing 15% discount off their normal hire charge. Not only is it a great deal but they are also offering to deliver your bike to the start line on Sunday morning to save you the hassle of collecting and returning the bike to their stores at Rutland Water. To benefit from the discount you must enter the code UCC FIRE when booking online at either their Whitwell or Normanton store. Offer ends on the 16 October. Please remember your booking information and ID to collect your pre-booked bike(s).
A pop-up workshop will also be available on the morning of the event for any last minute adjustments or bike checks by one of the Rutland Cycles mechanics.
For anyone needing to loosen up before their start Welland Valley Physio will be on hand to offer pre & post ride sports massages at a discounted rate of £6, all money raised will be going to UCC. These are going to book up quickly so make sure you book your massage when you book into the event.
With a couple of feed stations, including one at the well-known cycling haunt, Café Ventoux, you will be well supported to ensure you have an enjoyable and scenic ride made even better by knowing you are helping to support the school to get back on its feet after the recent fire.
All profits from the event will go directly to the school.
