Summit Scafell Pike
26 - 28 April 2024

This promises to be a thrilling weekend as we hike up the highest mountain in England.  Scafell Pike, stands at an elevation of 978 meters above sea level and is located in the southern part of the Lake District National Park. It is the third highest peak in the UK and is one of the summits in the National Three Peaks Challenge.

The route

Our route to the summit will take us along The Corridor Route. This is a less-traveled path and offers a unique and varied climbing experience that guides you through a dramatic corridor of crags, gullies, and rock formations, providing a thrilling ascent that keeps you engaged throughout the day.

As we near the summit of Scafell Pike, the sense of accomplishment is accompanied by panoramic views that extend across the Lake District fells and valleys, as well as distant views of the Isle of Man and the coast of Ireland on a clear day.

On your return from the day's ascent, the Glaramara Hotel awaits with its warm hospitality and cozy accommodations. Situated in the heart of Borrowdale Valley, the hotel provides a perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. Picture yourself unwinding in the hotel's lounge, perhaps by a crackling fire, recounting the day's triumphs with your fellow adventurers.
