Lake District Hiking Weekend

Friday 1 - Sunday 3 July 2022

Join us as we enjoy the best hikes that the northern lakes has to offer!

This is a weekend packed to the brim with hiking, staying in a perfectly located hotel and enjoying great food, a bit of navigation training (only if you want it, this is optional!) and the opportunity to take in some beautiful views whilst you stretch your legs.

We will all meet on the Friday afternoon at our comfortable hotel in the heart of the Borrowdale Valley - the perfect starting point to access some great hikes and to relax after a day on the hills.

We will eat together at the hotel on the Friday evening and you then have the choice of an evening of relaxation OR join us for a 2 hr briefing as we take you through a refresher course on map reading, navigation and compass readings.

After a hearty breakfast, Saturday will be spent exploring the stunning open countryside and views over Derwent water and mountain peaks as we enjoy a moderately graded walk covering a distance of approximately 14km (approximately 6 hr hike) stopping for our provided packed lunch en-route.

Following our walk, we have the evening back at the hotel where we will enjoy dinner and relax together.

Sunday will be a slightly shorter hike but no less beautiful. We could reach the peaks of either Glaramara, Dale Head or Great Cable depending on how the majority of the group is feeling.
